Aria Aber is a writer based in Los Angeles. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The New Republic, Poem-a-Day, and elsewhere. Her first book of poems, Hard Damage (University of Nebraska Press, 2019), won a Whiting Award. She has been granted fellowships from New York University, the Wisconsin Institute of Creative Writing, and Kundiman, as well as the Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Southern California.
