Annalee Newitz writes science fiction and nonfiction. They are the author of three novels, most recently The Terraformers, nominated for the Nebula and Locus Awards. Their latest nonfiction book is Stories Are Weapons: Psychological Warfare and the American Mind. They write a monthly column for New Scientist magazine and are a cohost of the Hugo Award–winning podcast Our Opinions Are Correct. Previously, they were the founder of io9.com and a media studies professor at the University of San Francisco.
