Aurora Prelević was born in Montreal, and is a second-generation Canadian with Yugoslav roots. She holds an MA from the New School for Social Research in New York, and currently resides in Belgrade, where she is working on a manuscript of essays entitled My Country Is the Most Beautiful of All: A Eulogy for Yugoslavia. She is also a poet, a movement artist, and a practicing herbalist.
