Benjamin Garcia’s first collection, Thrown in the Throat (Milkweed Editions, 2020), was selected for the National Poetry Series by Kazim Ali. This collection won the Eugene Paul Nassar Poetry Prize and was a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award.
