Learn how to dig deep into the emotions of a memory and depict them in a one-page comic with Lawrence Lindell.

Watch the video of the livestream below, and follow these steps to create your own memory comic.

For this workshop, you will need paper and something to draw with.

To explore the emotional memory through comics, you can ask yourself questions:

1: How did I feel?

2: Why do I think I felt that way?

3: What can that look like?

To create your own emotional memory comic:

Step 1: Choose two memories and spend five minutes answering these questions for each.

Step 2: If you felt a range of emotions, write those down too, and why you think you felt that way.

Step 3: Using the information from those questions, choose one memory from which we’ll make a single page comic.

REMEMBER: There is no right way to make a comic! The most important thing in making comics is finding your voice; drawing comes second.

We’d love to see your memory comic! Post it to social and tag @believermag.
